The Orbital Test Satellite-1 (OTS-1) was a satellite launched by NASA in 1965 as part of the Space Test Program. It was designed to test various space technologies and systems in orbit. OTS-1 operated successfully in orbit for several years, fulfilling its objectives and providing valuable data for space technology development. It eventually ceased operations and remains in orbit as a derelict spacecraft.
